About this formula
Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium from food and supports healthy bones, teeth and muscle function. Your skin makes it from sunlight, but many people get little sun for much of the year, especially in winter, in northern states or when working indoors.
Vitamin K2 works alongside it. It activates proteins that help bind calcium into bone. We use K2 as MK-7, which stays active in the body far longer than the MK-4 form, so one softgel a day is enough.
Both vitamins are fat-soluble, so we suspend them in extra virgin olive oil instead of a dry powder. The D3 is cholecalciferol, the same form your skin produces.*

Cautions
5,000 IU is above the 4,000 IU daily upper limit set for adults, so this strength is intended for people whose doctor has recommended a higher dose, often after a blood test. Do not combine with other vitamin D supplements unless advised. Vitamin K affects blood thinners such as warfarin: if you take one, talk to your doctor before use.
