About this formula
Vitamin B12 supports normal energy metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and the health of the nervous system. It is found almost only in animal foods, so people who eat plant-based, and many adults over 50, are the most likely to fall short.
We use methylcobalamin, one of the two forms of B12 the body uses directly, rather than cyanocobalamin, which has to be converted first. The lozenge is small, tastes of cherry and is made to dissolve slowly in the mouth.
The body absorbs only a small share of any large dose of B12, which is why 1,000 mcg is a standard daily amount. B12 is water-soluble, and no upper limit has been set for it.*
